Mummy's Notes

Hmm...he's now sound asleep next to me.. looking at him, it seems like only yesterday when he was born. Time flies..

Lately we realise that he has grown.. now he has his own character and temper. He knows what he likes, dislikes, wants and doesn't want. He listens to us and imitates us.

Here are some new things that he has picked up lately:
1) He can pronounce certain words such as 'no more', 'ball' & 'bai-bai (伯伯in cantonese).
2) He nods his head when he means 'yes' and shakes his head when he means 'no'.
3) He points at the animals correctly when being asked, such as cow, elephant, cat, dog and fish. But we notice that he can be quite impatient at times... his concentration span is quite short.
4) He wants to eat whatever the adults are eating. He can chew very well as his molar teeth are out - total 4 molar teeth out already.
5) He combs his hair with his hands when he's in front of the mirror... hmm.. he can be a real vainpot!
6) He will let us know when he wants to poo. And he can sit on the potty to finish the 'business'! Well done! Think it's about time to start him with formal potty training. Here's the check list tosee if your child is ready for toilet train: Toilet train checklist.
7) He helps us to massage our backs... he will want us to lie on the bed and let him massage. How sweet of him!
8) He will scream at us when we refuse to give him what he wants. He will first frown, then close his eyes and scream. hmm.. wonder where he learnt this from?!

I was reading the developmental milestones on the website and to my surprise, I realise that Jeriel is able to do most of the things listed in the advanced skills such as dances to music, kicks ball forward and 'helps' around in the house. Oh realise that he's definitely up at the stage of 15mths cos he can do whatever are stated there.
