The close to 3-hour flight was a relatively long one as it was not easy to keep Jeriel still in his seat. We prepared food and our iphones so that he could eat and play while on the plane.. good strategy!
We collected our rented vehicles and drove to our apartment. It was already late evening when we checked into the apartment - Surin Park. The 3-bedroom apartment unit is huge and clean. We loved it.
The next day was a shopping and sightseeing day for us. We first visited the Premium Outlet to shop! And then headed to the temple. Daddy had wanted to show Jeriel how firecrackers are like and the loud sound they will give out when lighted up. And this was a great opportunity. Indeed it was really LOUD!
Even before the trip, Daddy had wanted to bring Jeriel to a cashew nut factory; so when we reached Phuket, he specifically told the tour guide to include a visit to the cashew nut factory.... Finally Jeriel got to see how cashew nut is like and how the nut is handled. After that, we headed for the Safari tour where we rode on the elephant and the ox carriage, and finally watched the monkey show. :) Yes, Jeriel sure enjoyed the monkey show!
We woke up very early the following day for our 'Island Hopping' tour. We booked a private boat and had the whole boat to ourselves! It was fun. Jeriel enjoyed feeding the fish while the adults enjoyed the snorkelling.
And of course, we went to the 'popular tourist place' - Patong beach. Well, we walked along the streets but didn't get anything as we were too 'shy' to bargain/ nego for prices. Anyway we realised that the things are cheaper in the shopping mall eg. massage, pedi/ manicure and items such as sunglasses.
I would say it was an enjoyable 4 days... and I'm sure Jeriel would think so too!
