Mummy and daddy had specially planned to go Langkawi to celebrate daddy's birthday. Luckily it was just an hour and 15 minutes flight to Langkawi; otherwise we couldn't imagine how to manage this little active boy.
It was close to 4pm and was drizzling when we arrived at the airport. Good thing that we decided to rent a car from SeaHill- a toyota vios at RM200 for 3 days, quite a good deal. By the time when we reached and checked in at our hotel at Berjaya Langkawi Resort, we reckoned that it was a a little too late to go anywhere. But luckily we had a car so we could drive out for dinner. Oh ya, the premier chalet that we stayed was great and spacious.
We first went to Telaga Harbour Park and ate at this seafood place called Pulau Pulau. We had a steamed fish, toufu and fried chicken that cost us about RM134 which we thought was not really worth the price other than the fish was quite fresh. But well, the view at Tegala Harbour Park was worth the trip despite the mosquito bites. After the dinner, we headed towards Kuah town with the help of daddy's handphone GPS. Aiya, we overlooked that it was Ramadan so the night market was closed so the entire Kuah town was deserted. But we managed to find Langkawi Parade - a shopping mall! Nothing much there though cos' it's Ramadan. :(
Second day was sunny and bright so we decided to head for the famous cable car ride after our breakfast at the hotel. The Langkawi cable car ride was exhilarating; both daddy and mummy were so nervous when the cable car travelled up and up. But Jeriel was oblivious about the height and "danger" - he was still moving around in the cable car. *Phew, halfway up the mountain, we could get off at tand enjoy the view from the mountain - Mount Cinang which is 652m above sea level. The entire ride was 30 minutes. We really loved the cool breeze up at the summit. It's really a ride worth taking!
After the ride, we proceeded to the Wildlife Park at Jln Air Hangat. Right at the entrance, Jeriel was captivated by a baby monkey. He stretched out his hands to carry over the monkey from the zookeeper - what a daring boy! We bought a bag of fruits and vegetables for RM6 and was told that we could feed most of the animals (so long as it's indicated) in the park. Jeriel was so excited and went around feeding fishes, birds and monkeys (don't miss the funny video that i've uploaded) ! Oh ya, and those rabbits, Jeriel went to all corners of the rabbit area to feed all the rabbits, yes all and every single one of them.
It was close to 2pm and we had to rush to Snake Sanctuary to catch the snake show at 3pm. The whole stage area was empty and only 3 of us there to watch the show! The 3 snake charmers brought out 3 snakes and demonstrated some interesting stunts with the snakes. Haha, both daddy and Jeriel were reluctant to touch the snakes when the charmers offered, so only brave mummy held and took photos with the snakes!
The day did not stop here... we continued for a swim at the pool and a short stroll at the beach. What an eventful and fun day! So glad that the weather was good! After all that, we proceeded to Shin Mi Seafood Restuarant for a simple meal. It was definitely more worth it than yesterday's dinner. We had la-la, flower crab, fried prawns, vegetables and fu-yong egg and 2 mugs of Heinken and all these cost less than RM90. :)
As we had so much fun the day before, we overslept on the last day. We woke up close to 9.30am and rushed for breakfast. After breakfast, we realised that we do not have time for swim as we needed to check out at 12noon. Hmmm, so we got back to our room and packed up. Since we had some time to spare after we checked out, we decided to travel to the other beaches to take a look. We went to Datai but realised that we couldn't see the beach without getting into the hotel. :( And it was time to head for the airport.
Daddy said Langkawi is a great place and we could plan for another trip in the next future! :)
